I’m Demetrious Reed. I help people get Claude working for them.
I’m a creative who became a builder. I’ve been an artist, a filmmaker, a music producer, an Apple Business Expert and an agency owner. Today I run my work on Claude, and I teach other people to do the same.

An artist, a producer, a marketer, a builder.
I’ve always been creative and always been into technology. Everything I did before AI is the reason I get so much out of it now.
Southern California to Cleveland
Born and raised in Southern California, then back and forth to the west side of Cleveland a few times. I grew up an artist, an illustrator and a creative writer, and I took every art class I could. In high school it was advanced art and filmmaking, plus sports.
AOL, Napster and a burner
I grew up in the AOL, Napster and instant messenger era. We were one of the lucky families with two phone lines, so I lived on the internet and explored every corner of it. I built my own computer in high school. I was one of the only kids with a CD burner, so I burned my own music and sold it to my friends.
Told I'd never be a director
I went to film school in California while building recording studios in my basement, learning production and recording arts. Then I left. They told me I'd never be a director, just the guy getting somebody coffee. I thought that was nonsense.
Wrote, produced and sold my own
Back in Ohio I went all in on music. With some friends I opened a studio. We wrote, produced, mixed, mastered and marketed our own music. That's where I fell in love with marketing and branding.
Business Expert, and agency owner
When the music era ended I joined Apple as a Business Expert, an official title on the business team, for two years. At the same time I was running a marketing agency. Then I went full time on the agency and I've run it ever since. Developer, designer, copywriter, videographer, marketer: I've done every job.
Every skill, finally put to work
I was an early adopter of AI. Because of everything I'd done before, I could get a lot out of it. Artist, producer, marketer, builder: AI finally let all of it work together.
I’ve also got ADHD, which I call a blessing and a curse. It’s a big part of why I build systems that hold the details for me.
Half the time. More of everything.
For the last several months, AI workers have done nearly all the heavy lifting in my work, and I’ve cut my working time in half.
I run a Mac mini that’s always on, with Claude and a piece of software I built myself called Elephant. It’s a Mac app and a phone app. Claude uses it to do things on my computer, and I use it to talk to Claude from anywhere.
The creative direction is still all me. I write the brief, the plan, the rules and the guardrails, and the AI does the work from that. That’s exactly what I teach.
More projects
More businesses helped, plus passion projects, projects that make money, and projects just for fun.
More family time
The hours I got back go to the people I love.
Better health
Time for my health, including my mental health.
More travel
Time to actually go places.
The Giant Maker.
The Giant Maker is my marketing company and agency, where I do builds for clients. These sessions are about teaching you, not building for you. If something from your session needs a crew, that’s where it gets built, and every session you’ve paid for counts toward it.
Three things I’ve learned.
I direct. The AI works.
I don't let AI tell me what to do. I write the brief, the plan, the rules and the guardrails, and it does the heavy lifting from there. The creative direction is mine.
Your AI needs context.
Claude is brilliant and knows nothing about you. The more of the right information it has, in a form it can read, the better it helps. Every improvement I've made came from giving it more context.
You shouldn't need me twice.
I'd rather teach you to fish. I give you everything your AI needs to do the work, and then I get out of the way.
Outside of work, I’ve been with my wife for 20 years, and we have two daughters. Getting more time with them is a big part of why I work this way. I write about all of it on the blog and give away free skills in the skills library.
